Essential Worker

Masks up in public, optional behind employee only doors.

I work in a small warehouse, where we have to remain open. We employ mostly temps, and none of us have paid sick days or health insurance. The nature of our workplace means no public access, which means masks aren't required in our work areas. No one respects physical distancing either.

I haven't slept well since we got reopened, I'm scared I'll get sick from a coworker who got "tired of the restrictions" and is having parties again. I have panic attacks daily, and it's with the understanding that all things considered, at least it's a small team in a big space.

A break time does not mean you don't need your mask on Karen*, that still spreads with your loud laughing.
