Disabled Ontarians and COVID-19
Sat May 01 2021
I am Autistic. I want non-disabled people to remember how lonely they felt during the shutdown. How isolated and boared they felt. How the days stretched out into months; with nowhere to go and no one able to visit and no reason to get up in the morning. Many disabled people face lonelyness, isolation or barriers in our communities. Many of us were living the shutdown (or close to it) long before Covid came to town. When we get out of this, remember that feeling of isolation and lonelyness. Help us to make our communities more accessable and inclusive so that everyone can come out of shutdown.
